Bangkok is one of my favorite weekend getaway because it's eternal Summer and very close to Hong Kong. After much Tripadvisor-ing, we decided on the Sofitel So Bangkok, for its infinity pool and the four element room designs (wood, earth, water and metal theme). Apparently, you can request to stay in a different theme room every night, but we didn't do that because we were happy with our Water room and didn't want the hassle of packing / unpacking bags every day.
